Jetboard Safety Notice

Jetboarding is recommended for individuals at least 16 years old. This activity is not suitable for the elderly, pregnant/nursing women, individuals with high blood pressure or heart disease.

1. Always wear a helmet, life vest, and other protective gear when you ride. In some cases, your jetboard can lose power. This can happen due to radio interference which will affect the remote and receiver, a dead or dying remote battery, accidental release of the directional button, and other unseen factors.

2. Always ride at appropriate speeds for the natural tide and environment. Never ride in water depth less than 20" or sandy waters.

3. Always start moving forward as slowly as possible to avoid any jolting starts. Never go faster than you are comfortable with. Waves can be misleading, and it’s possible to pick up speeds greater than the boards capabilities due to weather conditions.

4. Always obey local and regional laws regarding motorized surfboards. Laws vary from city to city, state to state, and country to country. Make sure you know yours.

5. Ride defensively. Boats and other marine vessels can seriously injure you, and they are not always looking out for a motorized surfboard or anyone moving as fast as you may be. Be as cautious and defensive as possible.

6. Check your jetboard out after each use. Although electric skateboards are built to take vibrations, jolts, bumps, and other normal riding conditions, the internal electronic components are very sophisticated, and sensitive. Products are engineered to protect these internal items, but they can be damaged by  subjecting the board to other high-impact events that may damage components over time.

7. After riding, always tilt your jetboard to allow for proper drainage in order to avoid damage to battery connectors. Disassemble parts in dry conditions (dock, land, etc.). Rinse the board with fresh water and allow the battery to dry, especially after use in salt water. Remove debris after the power has been disconnected.

Riding a motorized products an activity with inherent and obvious risks. We cannot predict or control how you ride, or, predict or control the exact nature of the consequences of an accident or fall. Any fall or accident can result in serious injury, paralysis or death.

Electric Boards Direct will NOT cover any costs or damages to objects damaged as a result of an accident. All customers purchasing or previously purchased from this website are fully responsible and liable to any injuries or physical damage inflicted upon themselves or anyone else, whether by a product or a human error while riding. Serious injury or even death can occur from misuse of jetboards. The purchaser or user of the merchandise, agrees to release Electric Boards Direct, its owners, and employees, from any and all liability for damage, injury, paralysis and death to self, any other person, or property, resulting from the use or misuse of the merchandise sold by Electric Boards Direct.
